Warzone: Caldera

Warzone 1 has returned but with Caldera only

As promised, Raven Software has brought Call of Duty Warzone 1 back to life, which took a short break after the launch of Warzone 2.0. The game has a different name and – which may be quite surprising – is a heavily stripped down version of the original.

Warzone Caldera – because that’s the title of the game now – offers only one map, Caldera. Only two game modes are left, battle royale for fours and solo players. There is also no trace of the battle pass and there is no way to unlock content that was previously available in the battle pass.

Caldera is a large map, but in the past Warzone 1 also offered smaller locations that were quite popular, such as Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep. Alternative modes that slightly changed the rules of the game were also quite popular, e.g. a variant that allowed you to respawn if at least one member of the squad is still alive.

Some consolation for fans of Warzone 1 may be the fact that no content related to weapons and the rest of the equipment has been cut. You can still build your own loadouts like you used to.
